The First Post.

The hard part of starting this is that firsts are always nonsense...

Think of all your first times. They are equally special in terms of their effect in imprinting the experience in your mind, wrapped in the emotions of excitement and fear. Clouded by the consistent hazy view of nervousness and trepidation. And overwhelmed by the feeling of wonder at the unknown...

Their is no knowledge before the first. No comparison. Concern yes. But it is before experience. There is a nothingness to the Pre-First anticipation. A beautiful nothingness. I would not call it ignorance, although that is what it is in the end. But there is something freeing about the complete unknown before knowing.

The first kiss, the first crush, the first time and the first touch. All hold a special, or hopefully special, place in the hearts of the Experiencers. But beyond the seemingly physicall. There are all the other Firsts that you sometimes forget you had. Your first step, your first ice cream, your first time on the swing or first sleep over. Your first sip of coke, or coffee, or chilli hot chocolate!

There is a romance to firsts. It is always worded in the romantic. A courting of the moment commences before taking the plunge. There is a build up of opposing feelings and finally the moment comes...

and we try and hold on to it for as long as we can. Some of us are lucky. We find those moments seeming to stay around for an eternity within that first. Like time splits in two are we experience time and timelessness at once.

But its nonsense nonetheless. For the first is soon compounded by the many post experiences which work to skew our perceptions. Each one breeding slightly less fear and nerves and as such excitement as that first moment. We try to chase it, try to relive it. And although it can be said that each moment is new and a first. In reality it is not. Firsts are beautiful because they are impression-less. They lack that substance any repetition. But in that same line it is also nonsense. Because the value of the experience is then never fully understood.

The beauty of the First is therefore meaningless save for creating the first impression of the experience. Its complete nonsense during the moment. Only, creating the first steps from which we can turn impression into expression.

So Ends my first post.
